The Story Behind Élan D'Or

I didn't start Élan D'Or as a business idea. I started it because of my wife.

She loves jewellery — but every piece she bought would tarnish within weeks. The gold would fade, the metal would leave marks on her skin, and something she was excited about would end up forgotten in a drawer. It frustrated her. And quietly, it frustrated me too.

One afternoon while window shopping, I walked into a store selling jewellery that caught my eye. I didn't know what demi-fine was at the time — I didn't even think to ask. I just knew it looked beautiful, so I bought a few pieces for her.

What happened next surprised me. She wore them through everything — household chores, cooking, daily life — and nothing happened. No tarnish. No fading. No green marks. Weeks passed, then months. The pieces looked exactly as they did on day one.

That sent me down a rabbit hole. I started researching the materials, the plating technology, why this jewellery behaved so differently.
